| 2008 started badly and then fell away as far as the weather was concerned so the summary of capella's travels is brief! Capella came out of shed 4 looking great with her new paint job and smooth red bottom.Unforunately the available crane date fell when I would be sunning myself in Dubai with my son Mike, Alison, Laura and Amy.So the 'last of the summer brine brigade, under the direction of the sailing master, did the needful and put Capella safely on her berth on "D" pontoon. The first part of the season was spent day sailing in the Firth of Forth, either alone or with Jim, David, Alan, Kathryn and Derek. The weather went in all directions from 0 to 35 knots. he summer cruise I originally intended to go north to Orkney with David and Alan but they would have to fly from there back home for familly hols and I didn't fancy bringing Capella back from Orkney on my own again so we settled for a trip to the Moray Firth, some cruising there as time allowed then back to Port Edgar. I'm typing this on Capella on a bitter new years eve so will continue the story from home where my notes and pics are. | |
