The weather continued to be poor with either a gale or calm resulting in one of the poorest seasons any of us old fogies could remember. There was very little wind but the sun was shining and we managed to sail to the west anchorage set between two reefs at the south west end of the island. ![]() The anchorage Going ashore We dropped anchor close in to the small beach and pumped up the dinghy. Mike rowed the children ashore for a run before lunch. Jim sailed Akraka round the island with Mitch and Victor and met up with us as we were getting underway.
